■INTRODUCTION

The International Residents Cooking Contest is held as part of the festival, AsiO Gusto, the first international Slow Food festival to represent all of Asia and Oceania. Foreigners residing in Korea will be able to share cuisine from their own cultural backgrounds and enjoy a myriad of international tastes. A bonding experience first, a contest second; participants and spectators have the opportunity to connect the global community through genuine food.

All foreigners are welcome to participate in the contest but the deadline for applications is Tuesday, August 20th and there will be a maximum of 30 teams. The total prize pool is 2,700,000 KRW (two million seven hundred thousand Korean Won) and it will be split by the winners, but every participant will get a gift box filled with local organic food.
